WHO WE ARE

Synthesis Tuition was established in 2023. Originally, a small business just for tutoring, we came to realise that support should be accessible to more people, in more ways. So, with a name change to Synthesis Education in 2024, we began creating resources for students and homeschoolers, parents and caregivers. We are experienced educators with a comprehensive understanding of the curriculum, and a passion for making things click! We aim to cater for all learners, with an approach that is non-judgemental, calm, inclusive, and personalised. With lived experience in neurodiversity, our tutors understand that every student is different, and so our approach to every tutoring session is different too!

OUR VALUES AND PHILOSOPHY​

We know that some learners have additional and complex needs that require specialised support. We also know that learning is hard, and the curriculum is sometimes confusing. Our mission is to help children and their families navigate the curriculum, and invite them to ask questions and make mistakes in a safe and supportive environment.​​ We're dedicated to helping students in whatever way is right for them.​

OUR APPROACH

 

We provide a variety of tutoring options throughout the day, afternoons, and evenings, making it ideal for homeschooling families and those who have after-school commitments. Our tutoring sessions might involve hands-on activities, integrated projects, movement, mock exams, homework, and are always guided by the student and their parents.

WHAT MATTERS TO US

What matters to us is providing equity rather than equality, that is rather than giving each student the same resources and opportunities, we give each student exactly what they need. With more students than ever finding aspects of school difficult, or even impossible, we aim to meet students where they are, reduce barriers to learning, and create supportive environments in which every child feels understood, valued, and capable of success.​
