We excel in providing personalised services for both children and adults, utilising the current Australian Curriculum and our team's extensive teaching experience. Our tutoring services are available online or in the comfort of your own home, and we operate throughout the day, making it convenient for home-schooling families. If you have self-managed NDIS, you may be eligible to claim tutoring sessions. To learn more, please reach out to your NDIS provider.

Student sessions

All parents/carers are invited to have a free15 minute phone consult for each new student to:

Discuss student needs and goal-setting
Discuss duration and number of sessions to best suit your child

Some ideas for tutoring include:

An initial basic skills assessment
Addressing gaps in learning
Gifted and talented
Homework assistance
Understanding literal and inferential questions
Working through Maths algorithms and problem-solving
Test readiness (NAPLAN, PAT-M, PAT-R, etc)

Parent/carer sessions

It can be tricky, can't it. Your child needs help, but the way you were taught is different from now.

Spelling and reading intervention

If your child is having difficulty keeping up with their peers in spelling, reading, and writing, then intervention is vital. We have undertaken extensive professional development and training in order to confidently deliver programs and approaches that work!

Spelling and reading intervention sessions are designed to be short, intensive, targeted, and should be carried out at least twice per week. These 20 minute sessions are perfect as part of a 45-60 minute English tutoring session.

Emma

Qualifications: B.Ed(Primary), Cert IV(Theol)

Ages: Year 2-8, Adults

Subjects: All subjects, Literacy Intervention

Method of Delivery: Face-to-face

Area: South West Brisbane

Availability: Mon 9am-3pm, Thurs and Fri afternoons

Emma is a highly experienced primary teacher with 20+ years of experience in Brisbane and Cairns. She uses her knowledge, understanding, and empathy for all learners to facilitate positive outcomes. Emma is known for her easy going nature, bold earrings, and passion for helping students. When not teaching, Emma can be found playing lawn bowls, listening to music, or hanging out with her cat, Archie.

Jaclyn

Qualifications: BEd, M(CreativeIndus)

Ages and Subjects: All subjects (Primary), English, Maths, Science, Music, Humanities (Year 7-9), Music and vocal tutoring (All ages)

Method of Delivery: Face-to-face and Online

Area: South Brisbane

Availability: Mon afternoons

A multi-skilled educator, Jaclyn joins Synthesis with over 13 years of teaching experience. As well as offering support for all subjects to Year 9, she is a highly accomplished musician, providing tutoring in piano, guitar and violin. In her down time, Jaclyn loves playing soccer and futsal, and has three fur kids - a dog named Maggie and two cats Mort and Timmy.

Courtney

Qualifications: BAcct, MTeach(Sec)

Ages: Year 6-12

Subjects: Maths

Method of Delivery: Face-to-face and Online

Area: Ipswich

Availability:

Courtney is a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and dedicated secondary teacher. She specialises in Year 11-12 Business and Legal Studies, and all other subjects to Year 10. Courtney also has extensive experience working with young people of all ages with complex needs. When she isn't teaching or tutoring, Courtney is an avid netball fan and umpire, and plays up to four times a week!
